Accessibility Statement

Last reviewed: November 4, 2026

TLR Vital Beginnings is committed to making tlrvitalbeginnings.com usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. Our work is about preparing healthcare professionals to help every newborn get the best possible start, and we want every provider to be able to find class information, register and reach us without barriers.

Our standard

We aim for our website to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people who are blind or have low vision, are deaf or hard of hearing, or have motor, cognitive or other disabilities. We also consider the accessibility expectations of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

What we’ve done

To support accessibility, our site is built to:

  • Use clear page structure with properly ordered headings and landmarks, so screen readers can navigate it easily
  • Include a “Skip to content” link so keyboard and screen-reader users can bypass the menu
  • Work with a keyboard alone, with visible focus indicators on links, buttons and form fields
  • Provide text alternatives for meaningful images, and hide purely decorative images from assistive technology
  • Use color combinations that meet WCAG contrast requirements, and never rely on color alone to convey information
  • Label every form field clearly and mark required fields in text, not just with color or symbols
  • Stay readable and usable when text is enlarged up to 200% or viewed on a phone or tablet
  • Use descriptive link and button text, such as naming the specific class date you’re registering for

Third-party tools

Some features on our site rely on third-party services, including our class calendar and registration system and our secure payment processor. We choose providers that take accessibility seriously, but we don’t fully control how their content is built. If any part of registration or payment gives you trouble, contact us and we’ll help you register another way.

Ongoing effort

Accessibility isn’t a one-time project. We review our site as we add new content and classes, and we work to fix issues as we find them. Despite our efforts, some content may not yet be fully accessible. If you find something that doesn’t work for you, we want to hear about it.

Need help or an alternative format?

If you have trouble using any part of this website, or you’d like information in a different format, please reach out. We’re happy to help you register for a class, answer questions about on-site training or send information in a format that works for you.

When you contact us, it helps to include the page address and a short description of the problem. We’ll do our best to respond within two business days.

Accommodations at in-person classes

If you need an accommodation to participate in an NRP skills class, please let us know when you register or at least a few days before your class, and we’ll work with you and the host facility to meet your needs.
