TLR Vital Beginnings (“we,” “us” or “our”) provides Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) training for healthcare professionals. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit tlrvitalbeginnings.com, contact us or register for a class, how we use it and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Contact form: your name, email address, phone number (optional) and any comments you include.
  • Class registration: your name, email address and attendee details needed to enroll you in a class and issue your NRP card.
  • Payment: when you pay for a class, your payment is processed securely by our payment processor, Stripe. Your full card number goes directly to Stripe. We don’t see or store it.
  • Emails and calls: any information you share when you email or call us, such as training requests for your hospital or clinic.

Information collected automatically

When you visit our site, we and our service providers may automatically collect basic technical information, such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, how you arrived at our site and the date and time of your visit. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies, including Google Analytics, and through security and performance services that protect our site from spam and attacks.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • Respond to your questions and requests for on-site training
  • Register you for classes, send confirmations, reminders and class updates, and handle transfers
  • Process payments
  • Record your course completion and issue your NRP certification card
  • Understand how visitors use our site so we can improve it
  • Keep our site secure and prevent spam or fraud
  • Meet our legal and accounting obligations

We don’t use your information for anything unrelated to our training services, and we won’t add you to a marketing list without your permission.

How we share your information

We don’t sell or rent your personal information. We share it only when needed to provide our services:

  • Service providers who help us run the site and our business, such as our website host, registration and calendar software, Stripe for payments, email services and Google Analytics. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
  • The NRP program and certifying organizations, such as the American Academy of Pediatrics, as needed to record your course completion and issue your certification.
  • Host facilities, when a class is held at a hospital or clinic, we may share an attendee list for check-in and facility access.
  • Legal reasons, if required by law or to protect the rights, safety or property of TLR Vital Beginnings, our students or others.

Cookies and analytics

Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use them to keep the site working properly and, through Google Analytics, to understand site traffic. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not work as expected. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes described above, including keeping training and certification records and meeting tax, accounting and legal requirements. When we no longer need it, we delete it or make it anonymous.

Our site uses encrypted (HTTPS) connections, and payments are handled by Stripe, which is certified to the highest level of industry security standards. We limit access to your information to the people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Your choices and rights

You can contact us at any time to:

  • Ask what personal information we have about you
  • Correct information that’s inaccurate
  • Ask us to delete your information, unless we need to keep it for certification records or legal reasons
  • Opt out of any non-essential emails

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws. We’ll respond to requests within the time frames those laws require.

Children’s privacy

Our site and training are intended for healthcare professionals and students who are adults. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we’ll delete it.

Our site may link to other websites, such as the American Academy of Pediatrics NRP site, where you complete Part 1 of your course. We aren’t responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, so we encourage you to read their privacy policies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll post the updated version on this page and change the effective date above.
